D W Lyon Agricultural Contractors Ltd is a local family run firewood and agricultural contracting business based at Arthurshiels, Quothquan, near Biggar. We guarantee to provide a reliable, efficient and friendly service all year round.
The agricultural contracting business was started over 30 years ago and has grown from one man and his tractor to a full agricultural contracting team covering all types of agricultural work throughout the year.
The firewood business was started over 15 years ago and has steadily grown. We pride ourselves in delivering good quality firewood and enjoy getting out there and meeting our customers. We have invested in two Glenfarrow Biomass Boilers, which heat our log drying Kilns. All our firewood is Kiln dried for a consistent dry log product.
We supply high quality seasoned & dried hard/softwood firewood for open fires, log burning stoves or log burning boilers, with free local deliveries.
The agricultural contracting team consists of Duncan Lyon owner & fully experienced machine operator for over 30 years, two full time employees again with full machinery expertise and a team of part time employees to help with the seasonal demands of the business.
All our employees come from a farming background and between them they have a vast amount of experience.
